The first Nationwide BID Survey took place in 2006 when there were only 30 Business Improvement Districts.
In 2015, the survey is now in its 9th year with over 200 BIDs.
The survey covers the fundamentals of a BID – number of businesses, types of businesses, levy rate and so on. It also asks questions about project delivery – what your BID is delivering and how it works with your Local Authority amongst other things. It gives the industry a real insight to the position at present.
To ensure the most accurate information possible the survey is for ALL BIDs – Not just Bb members and for accuracy, British BIDs only uses one response per BID.
How do we collect our data?
The survey is run annually using an online survey of BID Managers to collect quantitative data alongside qualitative data through one to one research of BIDs. Data collection is carried out during April and May. The data is currently being analysed and verified ready for publication at our annual conference on the 5th November 2015.
